1. Anurag Kashyap Used To Be A Drug Addict


Like any other kid, Anurag also wanted to be a scientist. Later, he got addicted to smoking and drinking.



He confessed that these things changed him unexpectedly and he took a train to Mumbai to pursue his dream to be a part of the film industry.


2. Anurag Is Accused Of Casting Couch By Actress Payal Ghosh


The #MeToo movement is not going to stop anytime soon as Anurag Kashyap is also accused by actress Payal Ghosh recently.



Recently, Payal Ghosh took her social handle and opened up about her MeToo incidents.

Even though the matter is all hazy now, this is such a wild allegation.



Moreover, many big names from the industry have already come forward in the media.


3. Anurag was accused to influence the court judgment on the 1993 Mumbai Blast


Another wild accusation on the director who has made a movie on such a sensational topic.



The movie got everyone’s attention as it shows the plotting and planning of 93 Mumbai Blast.



Later, when the judiciary made their judgment, many people criticized the filmmaker for influencing the court’s decision.


4. Overconfident about his decisions and ignoring colleagues


Anurag Kashyap is truly a gem in terms of his filmmaking style. However, he is also unable to work sometimes as he ignores everyone if he wants to do something in a certain way.



Such an instance was the casting of Karan Johar as a villain in Bombay Velvet.



It was announced that Naseeruddin Shah was approached to play the villain.



Later, Anurag replaced Naseeruddin Shah with Karan Johar which was heavily criticized by the co-writer and lead actor as well.


5. Making Their Actors Uncomfortable On Sets


For the sake of Filmmaking, Anurag goes to any length. He has shown this many times.



Actors who have worked with him were even praised for this but sometimes it backfired as well.



While Vicky Kaushal praised him for helping him prepare the role, and Nawaz appreciated him for making him swim in cold water.



Actors like Ranbir Kapoor and Jatin Sarna complained about making them uncomfortable on sets with their visionary ideas and shooting standards.


6. Steal The Camera To Shoot Movie


Whether you say it is a typical Indian Jugaadu Mindset that somehow manages to do stuff like this or stealing.



He confessed in an interview that he wanted to shoot his movie with those heavy cameras.



In order to do that he offered the studio AD a meaty role in his movie ‘Last Train To Mahakali’ and put the condition that he would let him use the fancy cameras at night.



For the record, the whole movie was shot at night.


7. Anurag was supposed to Direct Tere Naam but replaced


Tere Naam is one of the best movies in Salman Khan’s filmography. Little do you know that Anurag Kashyap was on board to direct the film.



He demanded Salman Khan to grow his chest hair for the character of Radhe. Due to creative differences, he was replaced with Satish Kaushik.


8. Anurag commented on the career of Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan


It is a known fact Anurag’s brother Abhinav Kashyap has directed the movie Dabangg and then left the camp due to creative differences.



Abhinav made a long FB post describing the events of how he used to get threats over the phone.



However, Salman Khan had said that he had made Abhinav’s career by giving him a chance to direct Dabangg.



Later, Anurag Kashyap commented that Abhinav made a name for himself without taking anyone’s help while Salman helped to uplift Sohail Khan and Arbaaz Khan’s career.
